Divisions

ATTENTION MASTERS!

This year, we're excited to announce a more personalized competition experience for our Masters athletes! You can now choose the division that best suits your skill level, regardless of age. After registering, you'll have the option to compete on the overall leaderboard or a dedicated Masters leaderboard. This applies to both individual athletes and teams.

Remember, the age requirements for Masters teams still apply:

  • Masters 35+ (70+ for Teams): Both athletes must be at least 35 years old in 2024.
  • Masters 45+ : The athlete must be 45 years old in 2024.
  • Masters 90+ : At least one athlete must be 45+, and the combined age of both athletes must be 90 or more.

Scaled

Individual / Mixed Team of 2 (m/f) / Same Sex Team (m/m or f/f)

In this division, workouts are modified to ensure they are less technically demanding compared to the RX divisions, making them more accessible to a broader range of competitors. The goal of the Scaled division is to promote inclusivity within the sport, allowing more athletes to experience the thrill of competition while improving their fitness and CrossFit skills.

Intermediate

Individual / Mixed Team of 2 (m/f) / Same Sex Team (m/m or f/f)

TheIntermediate division is designed to challenge athletes who have surpassed the beginner level but are not yet at the elite level. It offers a platform for athletes to gauge their skills, improve their performance, and compete with others at a similar fitness proficiency level.

RX

Individual / Mixed Teams of 2 (m/f) / Same Sex Team (m/m or f/f)

The RX division in The Aquilagames represents the highest level of competitive fitness, where participants perform workouts as prescribed without modifications. Athletes in this division showcase top-tier strength, agility, and endurance, completing demanding exercises that test the limits of human physical capabilities. In The Aquilagames, the RX division signifies a stage where the CrossFit athletes compete, embodying the spirit of perseverance and excellence intrinsic to the sport.

ADAPTIVE

Individual

For logistical reasons, we will "only" have Adaptive Seated and Standing for this first edition. The standards are held so that everyone should be able to participate. Should there be a need to scale or further adapt, this will be done on the competition floor and will reflect in the athlete's points. Please be aware that this is a selection of required movements only, and it is non-exhaustive. The adaptive divisions are powered by @iron_sparks_luxembourg
